Revolutionary War Encampment
Saturday, May 23, 2015 – 10 am to 4 pm
Historic Court Circle, Main Street
Visit with Revolutionary-era soldiers, their families and camp followers as they interpret camp life during the War for Independence.
* Gather around the soldier’s tents as they explain the history of their unit
* Join in the drilling of “volunteers”
* Witness black powder firing demonstrations
* Meet an 18th century pharmacist
* Learn the favorite children’s games of the period
FREE! Come for an hour or two, stay for the day.
Bring a lawn chair and remember these and all veterans who sacrificed for our independence and our continued freedom.

Each year the participating swimmers raise money for the Peace Frogs “Bank to Bank Fund”, a part of the Gloucester Community Foundation serving Richmond and Central Virginia. Each swimmer raises money which is donated to specific programs decided upon by the swimmers. This years swim will benefit The Laurel Shelter and Rural Infant Services Program. All donations are fully tax-deductible. To donate please make checks payable to the Peace Frogs Bank to Bank Fund earmarked with which swimmer or swimmers you wish to sponsor and mail to:
