WEATHER
Happy Monday to you! I hope it’s a #GoodDay for ya! Today we’re going to see mostly sunny skies until the later part of the afternoon when a few storms could pop up. But by the time dinner is over we should see some clearing. It will be warm with a high in the mid to upper 80’s, but the cool temps in the 60’s will feel great tonight!

May 18 – Genealogical Society Meeting & Public Program
10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Gloucester Library Main Branch
The Gloucester Genealogical Society of Virginia (GGSV) will meet at 10am on May 18, 2015, in the Community Room of the Gloucester Public Library, 6920 Main Street. The meeting will feature a program on the Warner Hall graveyard and the people buried there, especially those of the Warner and Lewis families. Dr. David Brown and Thane Harpole of the Fairfield Foundation, John Gillis of the Gloucester Preservation Foundation, and Lee Brown, GGSV president, are the presenters. We will hear about research in and around the graveyard, preservation efforts that have taken place, and the interwoven stories of some of the important people who rest there, stories that will take us to the Lewis family cemetery near the Poropotank River. A brief business meeting will precede the program. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Nadine Tatum at 804-693-4274.
