Comprised of citizens, staff, and a Board member, it was tasked with advising the Board of Supervisors on “green” matters including development of policies, practices, and ordinances that encourage “green” building, “green” energy generation, and to encourage a vision of sustainability that can be embraced and promoted by the whole community through meaningful and broad based citizen participation, to benefit our economy, environment, society, and future generations.
