It looks like our better chances of rain begin in the mid-afternoon and increase to about 80% this evening. Then they’ll taper off for the most part overnight and linger just a little into tomorrow morning. Today we’ll be warm, in the upper 50’s, but almost 20 degrees cooler tomorrow for a high, so get out a bit at lunchtime if you can. There aren’t any warm days like this again in the 10-day forecast.

9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
On February 10 and 11, The Fairfield Foundation and Middle Peninsula Chapter of the ASV will be digging shovel test pits on part of the future Middle Peninsula State Park near the Rosewell Visitor Center in Gloucester County. We will continue shovel testing in the field and into the woods, extending from where we stopped last year, in an effort to help the folks planning the park avoid and better understand any significant archaeological resources. This has been a great experience for three years running, and we hope to continue the success this winter. Please email us at fairfield@fairfieldfoundation.org if you are interested in attending, so we know how many people to expect.
